    : Sour consumers are complaining that small bags of sugar are selling in Tonga for up to $50 per kilo - far exceeding the regulated price of $4 per kilo, during an ongoing sugar shortage that has continued for around two weeks now. By Linny Folau.

    : Tonga Rugby League has announced its 18 man squad for this Saturday’s May 7 Pacific Test Match against Samoa at Pirtek Stadium in Parramatta. Samoa narrowly won last year’s Pacific test match by 18 to 16. Fiji will play Papua New Guinea at the same venue.

    : New Zealand born actor Joe Naufahu made his acting debut for the popular HBO TV series, Game of Thrones. Naufahu featured in the first episode of season 6 of the series which was played last week. He acts as “Khal Moro” a ruthless warlord of a warrior tribe known as the “Dothraki”.

    : Food Security for Tonga is at the heart of the new 'Tonga 2015 National Agricultural Census' report that was released this morning, 28 April in Nuku’alofa. It is Tonga’s first Agricultural Census since 2001, and there has been a lack of reliable statistics for government planners and policy makers in the industry, which has seen a declining contribution to GDP over the last decade.
