Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Power cuts affecting areas across Tongatapu are expected to continue this week while Tonga Power's third generator is undergoing maintenance. Recent overnight outages were caused by three generators failing between 19-22 April. Tonight, 28 April, the areas of Tokomololo to Kalaʻau; Maui to Haʻatafu; and Queen Salote College to Tofoa (Stand by) will be affected. -

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A total of 32 cases of dengue fever have been confirmed across Tonga - an increase of 4 cases since the last report, the Ministry of Health stated today (Sit Rep #5), 23 April 2026. Seven cases are currently hospitalised including five in Ha'apai and two in Tongatapu. A public health clean-up starts tomorrow, Friday at Fo’ui and Fangaloto. -
