The Tonga Rugby Union has named an experienced 'Ikale Tahi squad for the 2026 World Rugby Nations Cup, with a mix of established internationals and emerging talent selected for the tournament that will start on 4 July.
The 31-man squad was announced as preparations intensify for Tonga's international campaign, with several players returning to the national setup alongside a core group of overseas-based professionals.
The forward pack features seasoned campaigners including prop Siegfried Fisi'ihoi, lock Adam Coleman, loose forwards Veikoso Poloniati and Lotu Inisi, and veteran hooker Paula Latu.
The squad also includes members of the Moli family, with Samiuela Moli, Sekope Lopeti Moli and Atu Moli all selected in the forwards contingent.
In the backs, Tonga recruited the experience of halfbacks Augustine Pulu and Sonatane Takulua, while midfielders Pita Ahki and Solomone Kata add proven international class.
Outside backs Telusa Veainu, William Havili and Anzelo Tuitavuki have also been included as Tonga looks to build attacking firepower for the competition.
Tonga Rugby unveiled a new partnership with Italian sportswear manufacturer Macron as the squad was announced.
Under the agreement, announced in Bologna on Wednesday, Macron will become the official supplier of match kits and apparel for Tonga's men's and women's national teams.
Tonga Rugby said the partnership marked an important step in strengthening the organisation's commercial and sporting development ahead of a busy international calendar.
Macron chief executive Gianluca Pavanello welcomed the agreement, describing it as a significant milestone for the company.
"It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce this prestigious partnership with Tonga Rugby," Pavanello said.
The new kit supplier arrangement will see Macron provide playing uniforms, training gear and a full range of apparel for Tonga's representative teams.
