Police Nurse

  • Current registration with the relevant nursing authority as a registered nurse.
  • Bachelor’s degree in general nursing and a minimum of five years of practice, contemporary experience, and knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Occupational medicine,
    • Practice nursing,
    • Travel medicine,
    • Public health,
    • Community health.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification, or the ability to obtain it.
  • Immunization qualification.
  • Availability to undertake domestic travel as required. Maintenance of required qualifications.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly establish effective and reliable rapport with Tonga Police employees.
  • Demonstrated high-level emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver against business outcomes.

  • Current Public Service or private sector employee with 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Tonga Police’s operational environment would be an advantage.

Chief Forensic Accountant
(Chief Admin)

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Membership of a recognised professional accounting body, such as the Fiji Institute of Accountants (FIA), CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ, or an equivalent internationally recognised body
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in forensic accounting, auditing, financial investigations, or financial analysis.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience leading or managing forensic accounting or financial investigation assignments.
  • Demonstrated high-level technical knowledge and practical skills in forensic accounting.
  • Knowledge of criminal investigation processes and the presentation of financial evidence in court.
  • Ability to work effectively in a law-enforcement environment and as part of multi-disciplinary investigative teams.    

Desirable Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification or specialist certification in forensic accounting, financial investigations, or related fields.
  • Additional tertiary qualifications in Finance, Audit, Taxation, Insolvency, Law, or related disciplines.
  • Formal training in criminal or financial investigations, policing, or equivalent operational law-enforcement experience.
  • raining or experience in mentoring, coaching, and capacity-building of investigative or forensic accounting staff.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF) frameworks, and asset tracing.
  • Experience in tracing and analysing cryptocurrency or digital financial assets.
  • Previous experience working within the police, other law-enforcement agencies, or the Pacific region.

Senior Digital Forensic Specialist (Senior Admin)
Operations Command

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ practical experience in digital forensics, cyber investigations, or IT security roles.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting forensic examinations of digital devices, including mobile phones and computers.
  • Knowledge of forensic imaging, data recovery, and analysis tools, including:
    • Mobile device forensics tools: Cellebrite UFED, XRY, Oxygen Forensics, or equivalent.
    • Computer forensic tools: EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of evidence handling, chain-of-custody requirements, and the presentation of digital evidence in court.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a law-enforcement environment and as part of multi-disciplinary investigative teams.

Desirable Requirements

  • Professional certification in digital or mobile forensics, such as:
    • Encase Certified Examiner EnCE) o GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA).
    • Access Data Certified Examiner (ACE). o Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI).
    • Or other equivalent internationally recognised digital forensic certifications.
  • Experience investigating cybercrime, online fraud, financial cybercrime, or technology-enabled offences.
  • Experience in analysing cloud-based data, network activity, or encrypted data.
  • Experience mentoring or training officers or staff in digital forensic techniques.
  • Knowledge of regional and international cybercrime frameworks and best practices.
  • Previous experience working within the police, other law-enforcement agencies, or the Pacific region

Chief Legal Officer (Chief Admin GII)

Either/or:

  • Master of Laws (LLM) from a recognised university* with at least 3 years relevant legal experience.
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised university* with at least 5 years in a similar role or 7 years relevant legal experience.
  • Must be admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tonga.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Tonga Police operational environment in relation to both the criminal and public law context in Tonga is highly desirable.

As recognised by the Tonga Law Society and qualifications acknowledged by the TNQAB
