1. Chief Administration Officer

Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) is a 100% Tongan and state-owned Public Enterprise. TCC is Tonga’s telecommunication market leader and is one of the largest companies in the Kingdom in terms of revenue and employment. TCC operates Tonga’s largest telecommunications infrastructure spanning all Islands of the Kingdom and extends 2.75G / EDGE mobile, 5G High Speed Broadband and Wimax Internet services and Fixed Line Telephony Services. TCC is looking for an individual to take up the role of Chief Administration Officer.

Role:
Directly responsible to the CEO in providing core support services in terms of strategic human resource management; oversees company/staff legal matters; properties and assets. Also manage Outer Islands Branches’ Operations of Vava’u; Ha`apai; `Eua; Niuatoputapu and Niuafo’ou.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Manage the overall operation of the Administration Division
2) Carryout Strategic Human Resource management and Organization Structure.
3) Administer all Company’s legal matters both internally and externally to the fullest extent.
4) Manage Company Properties and Transportation.
5) Oversee the operations of the Outer Island Branches of Vava’u; Ha’apai; Eua; Niuatoputapu and Niuafo’ou.

Education and Experience:
1) Qualification

  • Post Graduate Qualification in Business Administration; Employment Relations; or Management OR;
  • First Degree in Employment Relations or Human Resources with several years of relevant working experience at Senior management level.

2) Work experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Administration/ Human Resource; Property and Transportation
  • Professional Certification in Management or Human Resource

3) Skills and Aptitude

  • Leadership Qualities
  • Team player - able to work in a team environment and maintain focus on Goals.
  • Ability to effectively enhance Human Resource & Development area
  • Good Interpersonal skills; Excellent communications with strong presentation skills
  • Computer literate; familiar with HRIS and Payroll.

Remuneration:

  • Salary depends on qualification and experience.

2. HeadofSection–Financial Accounting

  • TheHOSCorporateFinance plays acrucialrolein overseeing, direct and control the operation of the financial accounting section.
  • Uses financial management methodologies to approach the accounting and financial management department.
  • Offers advice to Management on large financial matters; implementing business financial strategies and project across business. Long term strategies formulation; inventory management, cash management, payable and procurement, credit control and receivable, payments and fixed asset management.
  • MonitortheUnit’sperformanceand;maintaineffectiveandproductivecommunication with various divisions and stakeholders within the organization.

Qualifications Experience

  1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/ or Finance from a recognized institution. At least 7 years relevant finance work experience. The equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable. The candidate will also be better suited with CPA, CA certification
  2. Must have a minimum of 7 years working experience in a finance operation or/ in an accountancy capacity within a fast paced and dynamic business environment. The candidate will have had successful experience leading a finance/ accounting team from the beginning of a financial period to its close
  3. Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office. Knowledge in the company’s accounting software is an advantage
  4. Excellent oral and written communications both in Tongan and English. Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual results
  5. Good interpersonal skills and high analytical skills
  6. Ability to set and effectively meet short deadline & Leadership abilities.

Remuneration

  • The successful applicant will be on a 6 months probationary period at salary scale/level H ($50,760-$56,400) per annum; with entry point, depending on qualification and experience.
