Tasmania, Australia : A Tongan woman living in Tasmania, Lopa Naufahu, is fundraising to pay $6,865 for her husband’s Australian visa application. Neil Naufahu, who lives and works in Tonga as an electrician, is restricted from entering Australia while Lopa, a permanent resident, lives in Hobart with their Australian-born five year-old son Josiah.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The public is advised by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga to take heed of the requirements for the removal of cash from Tonga, and for cash entering Tonga, in order to avoid any unnecessary delays in arrangements for travel or export of cash. Reserve Bank Permission is required for removal of cash exceeding T$10,000 or its equivalent in any other currency and all applicants must submit their applications to the Reserve Bank at least three days prior to the departure date from Tonga. -

Auckland, New Zealand : The Vodaphone Warriors have released their star centre Konrad Hurrell. The NRL club announced the move today May 25. Konrad’s contract was originally scheduled to end in 2018.
