A magistrate has granted bail for a woman, one of two siblings, arrested on 10 February in relation to a police seizure of 15.657kg of methamphetamine in Nuku'alofa. ‘Ana Longolongo Kolokihakaufisi (37) and her brother, a senior reserve bank official Tēvita Nonu Kolokihakaufisi (39), first appeared before a magistrate on 12 February, and were remanded in custody to 16 February. He was not permitted bail and remains in custody.

Over 15kg of illicit drugs, allegedly methamphetamine, was seized by the Tonga Police drugs squad over the weekend in two raids on a house at Kolofo'ou and an office. Two members of a family, a 39-year old male and his 37-year-old sister were arrested in a police operation code-named Operation Feke.

After a month-long headache investigating the case of a human head that was found anchored to the seabed at Yellow Pier, on Christmas Day, Tonga Police are now seeking external assistance to find the body. Deputy Police Commissioner Tevita Vailea said the investigation was ongoing. While there have not been any new clues, they are now turning to counterparts in Australia and New Zealand for help in figuring out the mystery.
