A 51-year-old woman, who was a front passenger in a car that crashed into an electric pole at Kolonga on eastern Tongatapu, died at Vaiola Hospital on Sunday, 18 December. The driver remains in a critical condition.

A 32-year-man died early this morning, 11 November, when his car swerved and collided with a tree on Taufa'ahu Road in front of Hu’atolitoli Prison, at Vaini. The road death toll now stands at 11 this year for Tonga.
