    : I was a government employee in Tonga for almost 10 years. I am now residing in Australia as an Australian citizen. Are they distributing any Superannuation Fund statements to it's members? I have not received a single statement since I left the Tongan public service in 2001.

    : In Tonga's case the consultative meetings held this week in Nuku'alofa were poorly attended by the private sector, and participants had difficulty grasping the complexity of the trade negotiations. Meanwhile, the Forum's selection of Tonga's negotiators and representatives to some of the consultative committees was not clear.

Its poor economic status and its leaders drive to re-appropriate what is left for themselves, will be definitely the death of the kingdom as we know it. No, don...’t push the panic Oh My God! button just yet. I am talking about 30 to 50 years from now. This seems to be a long time, but it is not.     : A total of 23 candidates have registered to run in Tonga's by-election on May 5 for the two vacant People's Representative seats in the Legislative Assembly. When the registration of candidates closed yesterday, April 14, 18 candidates had registered for Tongatapu - nine new candidates and nine who previously contested the seat.
