Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Four men were found not guilty on possession of methamphetamine after a drug testing report was ruled inadmissible. The illicit drugs were alleged to have been seized on 23 December, 2022 at Tu'atakilangi.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A 10-MW wave power park for Tongatapu is expected to be developed by Dublin-based wave energy technology firm, Seabased Group, and ready for commissioning within 24-months, it was announced in New York last week. Tonga's Minister for Internal Affairs, Lord Vaea of Houma, said the technology can capture the energy generated from the waves coming to the shores of Tongatapu and turn that into electricity - meeting more than fifty percent of Tonga’s electricity needs. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : There have been no recent deaths reported from Influenza B, which peaked in Tonga over the past two-months. The Ministry of Health says cases of influenza-like illnesses going to the hospital to date have slightly decreased.
