Not too many people are aware of the gigantic volcanic ridge that separates the Kingdom of Tonga and the Fijian Islands, and the fact that this same ridge extends in a north-south direction from the southern most island of Tonga, `Ata, through Kao and Tofua Islands in the Ha`apai Group, to Fonualei in the Vava`u Group, and also Tafahi and Niuafo`ou in the extreme north, and even all the way to the Samoas. Tonga's diplomatic missions in London and New York last week forwarded books of Condolences signed by diplomats, friends and relatives of the late Prince Tu'ipelehake and the late Princess Kaimana.

Ten days of mourning began in Tonga this morning with the arrival from the USA of the caskets of Prince Tu‘ipelehake and Princess Kaimana.

Vinisia Lose Hefa (36) was finally laid to rest yesterday, July 19, at the Piki pea Vela Cemetery, Haveluloto, following a funeral service at the Fakamolemole Free Wesleyan Church, conducted by Rev. Dr Manase Tafea.
