    : Tonga was elected as a member of the IRENA Council for 2023 -2024 during the 13th Assembly, in UAE last week, that brought together heads of state, government, ministers, and decision-makers in the energy sector from its Member States, as well as interested parties, under a theme “World Energy Transition - The Global Stocktake”. Tonga's Prime Minister was in UAE for the event.

    : Tonga's international trade in plant-based products is made easier with MAFF's recent roll-out of an “ePhyto system” that allows exporters and farmers to electronically obtain phytosanitary certificates from overseas biosecurity authorities.
