Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Tonga’s Head Psychiatrist Dr Mapa Puloka says family violence is causing mental health problems in Tonga. “Domestic violence is in some ways similar to incest, it’s a topic that no one wants to talk about….it has come to a point where a lot of Tongans see it as culturally appropriate and tolerate it…we need to talk about it and raise the awareness of the problem,” he said. - By Finau Fonua.1 comment -
