Auckland, New Zealand : Former Mate Ma’a Tonga centre Solomone Kata will debut for New Zealand this Saturday October 15 against Australia in Perth. The Vava’u born 23-year-old was the top try scorer for his NRL team the New Zealand Warriors this year, scoring 15 tries in 21 games in the 2016 NRL season. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Superintendent Tevita Vailea (44) was awarded the 2016 Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Chair’s Award for outstanding servicing to policing in the region. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Tonga's Attorney General’s Office is asking the United States for a provisional arrest warrant of Dean Jay Fletcher, who is accused of murdering his wife in Neiafu, Vava'u. Fletcher fled police custody on September 29 and sailed to American Samoa in his yacht Sea Oak. Tonga is seeking an extradition - a complex process which is expected to take "some time".Premium content
