Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Queen Elizabeth II has died, Buckingham Palace announced this morning. “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” the official royal.uk website announced on Thursday 8 September 2022 (UK time). The Union flag on top of the Buckingham Palace was lowered to half-mast at 18:30 BST (6:30am Friday, Tonga time). -

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A seven-year-old boy died in a shooting incident at a residence in Ha'ateiho, Tongatapu, on Friday evening, 2 September. Tonga Police said children found a loaded .22 rifle in their family vehicle. The 40 year old father of the children has been arrested. Premium content -
