Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Early detection of breast cancer through self-examination and mammograms will increase the percentage of survivors, Tonga Breast Cancer Society (TBCS) stated in the launching of the breast cancer awareness month today, 1 October, with theme “Early Detection Saves Lives.”

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A man in Tonga who received a rental car, that was allegedly stolen by his former wife in New South Wales in Australia and shipped to Tonga, was found guilty on one count each of money laundering and receiving stolen property. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Vaka Lau’i was ordered to vacate a town allotment situated at Leimatu’a, Vava‘u, known as ‘Keeni Uluakimana’, because his occupation of the land was unlawful, the Land Court ordered. Suva, Fiji : Financing agreements to extend the Pacific Region Infrastructure Facility (PRIF) for an additional four years have been signed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the governments of Australia, New Zealand and the United States, the European Investment Bank, the European Union, the Japan International Cooperation Agency, and the World Bank Group, at the PRIF Management Committee Meeting that was held on Wednesday in Suva.
