Forty-one drivers were arrested for driving under the influence (DUl) of alcohol, during a road policing enforcement operation by Tonga Police over the Heilala Festival weekend.
A total of 25 males and 16 females were arrested and charged with DUI.
In addition, another 12 drivers were issued infringement notices (fines) for the same DUl offence.
Tonga Police stated that these enforcement outcomes refected their commitment to improving road safety and ensuring compliance with traffic laws.
