    : The Women & Children Crisis Centre (WCCC) says that it has assisted more than 1,800 women and children in Tonga since its inception in 2009. The Nuku’alofa based centre says that there have been some dramatic cases of domestic disturbances, including incidents of child molesting. By Finau Fonua.

    : A former Minister of Justice, Clive Edwards, who was awarded $14,500 in damages and costs by a Magistrate in a 2011 defamation case against the Kele'a newspaper and its editors, has filed a written submission to the court seeking to review an appeal against the award and submitting that Mateni Tapuelueulu's position as a parliamentarian is questionable because the defamation award had not been paid before the election.
