    : The ‘Ikale Tahi scored three tries to defeat Manu Samoa 28 – 18 yesterday 16 June in Suva, Fiji. Despite conceding numerous penalties throughout the game, the ‘Ikale Tahi dominated possession and territory. Star halfback Sona Takulua converted all of Tonga’s penalties and missed only one conversion.

    : Crowds of families queued at the government's Treasury today waiting to get cash handouts in the form of cheques from a government account. The people waiting for the handouts said their homes were either damaged or destroyed by severe Tropical Cyclone Gita in February. The hand out organised by the Ministry of Finance they said aimed to help them rebuild their homes.

The move has been played up as a potential indication that the US may finally be adopting a tougher approach toward China. Mattis himself has called the decision an “initial response” to China’s militarization of the South China Sea. ... The Pentagon has flaunted its capability to demolish China’s artificial islands, whose creation Chinese President Xi Jinping has cited as one of his key accomplishments. “I would just tell you,” joint staff director Lt.
