: I note with incredulity, in reading the Press Release from the Prime Minister's Office today, that Government proclaims that an, "elevated sensitivity to public sentiments was formalized in the establishment of the Commission for Public Relations". To call this a "meritorious trend" is simply hogwash in light of the fact that the Prime Minister's Office and its Chief Secretary have led the way in ignoring the decisions and recommendations of the Commissioner for Public Relations.

: Good governance is what good governments do. And although "good" can be a subjective abstraction, an honest appraisal of Government procedures will show that within its legal, historical and cultural framework, the process of governing and implementing decisions have the required elements that characterize good governance. Nuku'alofa, Tonga
: As we discover this week that it is not viable for a New Zealander to invest in Tonga because of a restrictive New Zealand tax legislation, a number of questions spring to mind. It is definitely very unfair for these New Zealanders and Tongans who have made New Zealand their homes to find that investment in Tonga is made unprofitable by restrictive tax laws.
