: Two Tongan Olympic archers, competing as individuals, received their rankings in the ranking rounds on Friday and Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Hans Arne Jensen was ranked 61 out of 64 archers and Karoline Lusitania Tatafu was ranked 63 out of 64 archers. This means they will be matched against top ranked Olympic archers in the Olympic Archery 1/ 32 elimination rounds on August 8-9 (Tuesday and Wednesday, Tonga time).Premium content

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Tongan swimmer Amini Tuitavake Fonua (26) came fifth in Heat 1 with a time of 1:06.40 in the 100 metres Men's Breaststroke event at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday August 6. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Five Tongan workers including a father and son have been killed in a horrific car crash near Tauranga in New Zealand last night. New Zealand Police said that at about 8:10pm on August 2 a northbound vehicle pulled out of a side road onto State Highway 2 near Katikai and was struck by a southbound logging truck and trailer.
