Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The Tonga government is proposing to foot the bill for some community services that are provided by Public Enterprises, to help make them more viable businesses, and may subsidise services such as ferries to remote islands, and water for putting out fires.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The Taimi on April 21 reports that 'Akilisi Pohiva, accompanied by 'Isi Pulu and Clive Edwards, had told a meeting of prominent people of Ma'ufanga that he wants to enter parliament with these two. But by the next day, his newspaper carried a goodwill message to Sangster Saulala from 'Akilisi, and also published letters urging that Clive be dropped in favour of Semisi Tapueluelu.
