Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A black marlin weighing 390kg and over 4m long was hauled into the fish markets today from the Ekiaki a vessel which is owned by the Quality Fishing Co. and captained by Loseli Tuineau. The huge fish was caught last Tuesday, 36 miles north east of Kao.Premium content

Suva, Fiji : Well played Tonga. I take my hat off to all of you, the players, officials and people. The players played with lots of guts and pride that brought tears to my eyes. : Once again - well done to our Rugby Boys for taking the game to the Spring Boks yesterday. The game with Samoa was brilliant, yesterday - it was superb. Three things stood out yesterday, 1) the Tongan players have skills, 2) power and 3) decipline. For one of the smaller populated island nations you have won the respect of many here in Papua New Guinea, (the most populous island nation), in that you have really and truly stepped up to play against the giants in world rugby from our island backwaters. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : In regard to Tama Foa's letter of September 21, 2007: "My Wish, fix the Education System", he wrote that Tonga badly need more education on technical skills for its students to obtain and/or engage in jobs to generate income for them. In a way, Tama Foa is right, not only for the technical aspects of the curriculum but for others too; eg., qualifications of teachers, salaries of teachers, materials and equipments for students and teachers, equal opportunities in education, and a love for teaching and the students. - Sosaia Fatani -
