    : The Mate Ma’a Tonga is scheduled to play Italy next Friday 20 October in Queensland, Australia. The Italians have confirmed their lineup with a number of notable NRL players such as Mark Minichiello, Terry Campese, James Tedesco, Paul Vaughan and Josh Mantellato. Tonga last played Italy at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, winning 16 – 0.

    : A New Zealand court last Tuesday 2 October sentenced former professional rugby player and Tongan prospect, Dylan Halaholo, to nine months’ home detention after he was convicted of committing indecent acts in public on three separate occasions this year. The 23-year-old was last year convicted of the same indecent acts and was put under intensive supervision.
