    : The Tonga Supreme Court yesterday, 28 October, dissolved an injunction order issued against the newly established Tonga Ma’a Tonga Rugby League Inc. (TMTRL) and the Tongan Government. This was after the plaintiff, the Tonga National Rugby League (TNRL), agreed to withdraw from legal proceedings on the basis that the Tonga Government reconsider its decision to endorse the TMTRL.

    : Lord Tu'ivakano will now proceed to trial on 14 counts relating to the issuance of Tongan passports. This was after, a ruling today by Lord Chief Justice Michael Whitten, who found there is sufficient evidence to commit him for trial on eight out of the nine charges that the former Prime Minister challenged (the other six charges were not challenged).
