Apia, Samoa : Fourteen-year-old Noelani Day has made history becoming the youngest person to complete the 22.3km Apolima Strait Solo Swim, placing third overall in Samoa, on Friday 6 April. She completed the swim in 8 hours, 11 minutes, and 12 seconds. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : There were mixed results for Team Tonga at the Commonwealth Games over the weekend and today. Finau ‘Ohuafi won the first heat of the Men’s 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.07, but he didn't make the top 16 athletes in the Men’s 50m Freestyle semi-finals to be held later tonight. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Rain is slowly easing today on Tongatapu after a bout of heavy rain, which has fallen almost continuously since the end of last week, causing widespread flooding especially in low lying areas. Roads around Nuku’alofa were still flooded today, although the water should start subsiding as rain eases over the next few days. -
