Nuku'alofa, Tonga : "Use antibiotics responsibly" is the theme of a World Antibiotics Awareness Week launched in Nuku’alofa on Monday, November 14 to raise awareness about the serious health issue of antibiotic resistance. Madrid, Spain : The ‘Ikale Tahi have won their first European test match, defeating Spain 28 – 13. The determined Spaniards gave the boys a run for their money, and were leading 3 – 0 in the 30th minute of the match. Suva, Fiji : The Tonga Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams both managed to get a win on Day 1 of the Oceania Rugby Sevens Championships today November 11. The Women’s team defeated Solomon Islands 21 – 0 while the Men’s team defeated American Samoa with 6 tries to 1. The Women’s team lost its two other matches to Australia 45 - 5 and Fiji 36 – 0. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A 40-year-old man from Tu'atakilangi, one of three who were arrested and charged in suspected drug related offences, has been detained in custody. Tonga Police said today that he is alleged to have been the person who owned a rifle, ammunition and an illicit drug suspected to be methamphetamine, seized on Saturday from a vehicle.Premium content -
