: C'mon guys, your plates are full of important issues to work on. Do a bit of homework and stop picking on small issues that distracts the House's agenda. Unification and smooth transition is what the people of Tonga needs, and your main opponent is Time but not your fellow MPs. - Dr Fotu K.V. Fisi'iahi.

: I had an opportunity to watch the rugby match between the 'Ikale Tahi and the Flying Fijians on the internet today (June 20). I was so excited when the boys had the lead 28-0 in the first 15 minutes. However, that lead eventually disappeared. What a heart breaker for all of us, especially the boys who put in a great display of efforts on the pitch today. They deserved nothing less than a win. - 'Aisea T. Tu'ikolovatu.

: By Alexander Krivenyshev, World Time Zone. If one follows recent radiocarbon analysis and theory that human habitation of Easter Island actually began around 700-1100 years ago and the giant Moai idols were carved from rock between the years 1100 and 1500. If one considers these facts and overlays the calculated, historical data of total solar eclipses occurring many centuries ago (Xavier M. Jubier, Espenak and Anderson, NASA), it turns out that the July 11, 2010 eclipse may be the first total solar eclipse that the giant Moai statues and inhabitants of the island have ever seen.

: The legality of parliament's voting on a very important motion and two reform bills legalizing Political Reform has become an issue that the Tonga Legislative Assembly has to address in order for the proposed political reform and the November 25 parliamentary general election to proceed. ...It wasn't that the House didn't know what they were doing. It is clear from the minutes that members were fully aware that they were passing an amendment that had not been drafted. They were also aware that they did not understand the bills and had not debated them before raising their hands in unison. In the Minutes, People's Reps 'Akilisi Pohiva and 'Isileli Pulu are on record saying that it was most unusual for the House to pass bills without even understanding the bills and the proposed amendment, but they both expressed their trust in the Minister of Justice and the Cabinet to go ahead and draft good bills. : The principles of mode of operation for democratic form of government such as transparency, accountability, fair distribution of power and check-and-balance were all taken out of the reform agenda in the last five years. The reform agenda has been dominated by the PRs quest for power. When power is all that you strive for, the only way to succeed is to sacrifice the other principles of democracy as mentioned. The people of Tonga well deserved a public apology from its parliament. - 'Inoke Fotu Hu'akau.
