Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A re-offender, Pouono ‘Aisake (29) was sentenced to six-years imprisonment after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm, when he hit a Senior Police Constable with a machete on the head, in August 2018. Brisbane, Australia : Brisbane's Tongan Community have more than ten kava clubs who meet regularly. President of the Brisbane Tongan Community steering committee, Rev. Maile Molitika says that kava clubs are important in holding the community spirit together. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A team of around 50 medical staff from different countries, including Australia and New Zealand, will volunteer their services to treat Tongans with heart conditions at Vaiola Hospital from September 3-21.
