Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A new “Infringement Notice Regime” proposed to give teeth to the provisions of Tonga’s Communications Act of 2015 will allow government to issue penalties of between $1000 and $4000 when they believe a person has contravened the Act, without going to court. -

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Flagbearer and shot-putter, ‘Atamaama Tu’utafaiva led Tonga’s athletes in a parade of nations, which opened proceedings at the 2019 Pacific Games opening ceremony held at Apia Park Stadium in Samoa, yesterday, 7 July. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Attempts were made to silence the outgoing Miss Heilala 2018, Kalo Funganitao, after Miss Heilala officials tonight unplugged her microphone during her final speech. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Twenty-seven local body builders, including students, took part in the Royal Tongan National Bodybuilding Championships 2019 at the Tanoa Hotel on 2 July, as part of celebrations for King Tupou VI’s 60th birthday.
