    : This weekend, Stephen Paddock opened fire on a country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, from an overlooking hotel, killing at least 59 people and injuring more than 500 others. Paddock, a 64-year-old former accountant with no criminal record, was ultimately found in his hotel room, dead, with some 23 guns, including more than ten assault weapons. Police later found an additional 19 firearms, explosives, and several thousands of rounds of ammunition in Paddock’s home. What the authorities have not yet found, however, is a motive.

    : Breast cancer remains the number one cancer affecting women in Tonga with 12 cases so far from January-July this year, said Dr ‘Ana ‘Akau’ola today at the launch of the Pink October breast cancer awareness campaign. Only two of those cases were detected early through mammogram. "It's only when your cancer is detected early, that we can help you beat this killer disease”

    : A Tongan man in Australia, Tevi Koloamatangi (47), has been found guilty of murder in relation to the shooting of a man outside a nightclub in the city of Wollongong in 2007. A Serbian man, Zlatan Popovic (45), was also found guilty of hiring Tevi as a hitman to conduct the shooting. The pair are expected to be sentenced sometime in October.
