Patelesio Mafi (66) received a three-year suspended sentence on Wednesday, June 11 for attacking his nephew Richard Mafi (39) with a machete at the family Ha’amoko Bakery in 2011. He was ordered to pay $1,000 in compensation to the victim.

The Tonga Police are hunting four to five male suspects who broke into a home in Sopu early this morning and tied up the occupant, a woman in her 40's who was home alone. One of the men is alleged to have raped the woman during the robbery.
