Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The loss of 74 lives on the MV Princess Ashika was a devastating tragedy where it appears serious breaches of the law may have occurred. I express my deep sympathy to those who lost family and friends in the sinking of the vessel. In consultation with the Solicitor General and other Crown Counsel I have approached the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) to nominate two special prosecutors to work in Tonga in relation to the purchase, operation and sinking of the MV Princess Ashika.Premium content

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Nuku'alofa cyclists joined the first "Bicycle for Health" ride through the streets of Nuku'alofa early on Saturday morning, April 10. Bicycle for Health, is the mission of Pasikala Nuku'alofa, a not for profit organization, which was established late last year. The president Robyn Tu'ivakano, and her secretary Naomi Fakau'a plan to hold a regular riding program. On Saturday Hon Frederica Tuita led the seven kilometer Bicycle for Health ride, with other cyclists including the Minister for Youth and Sports, Noble Tu'ivakano.Premium content
