Auckland, New Zealand : A 26-year old man of Tongan heritage, Gustav Otto Sanft, has been charged with manslaughter by a New Zealand court after his two-year old daughter Amokura Daniels-Sanft was found dead with a gunshot wound at their home in the Auckland suburb of Mangere earlier this year June 2.

Auckland, New Zealand : Former Mate Ma’a Tonga centre Solomone Kata will debut for New Zealand this Saturday October 15 against Australia in Perth. The Vava’u born 23-year-old was the top try scorer for his NRL team the New Zealand Warriors this year, scoring 15 tries in 21 games in the 2016 NRL season. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Superintendent Tevita Vailea (44) was awarded the 2016 Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Chair’s Award for outstanding servicing to policing in the region.
