    : A Tropical Cyclone warning is in force for Tonga today as Tropical Depression 03F moves towards Vava'u, Tonga Met. advised this morning. The system is bringing unsettled weather to most of Tonga. The storm coincides with the highest tides of the month.

    : There were 8000 Tongans stuck overseas because of the COVID-19 border restrictions and wanting to return home, when the repatriation flights ended this week. Over the last year, Tonga’s foreign reserves have increased about 19% to the equivalent of nearly 10 months’ imports.     : Thirteen-year-old 'Oto'ota Fahina Likiliki has been selected from Tonga to sing in a virtual Commonwealth musical collaboration “for healing the human spirit during CoViD-19”. The musical project will combine 54 voices chosen from 54 Commonwealth member countries, to virtually record a soundtrack with the Dionysus Ensemble in Britain.

    : Science Times: Walking for at least 11 minutes a day could reduce the undesirable health consequences of sitting for hours and hours, according to a helpful new study of the ways in which both inactivity and exercise influence how long we live. The study, which relied on objective data from tens of thousands of people about how they spent their days, found that those who were the most sedentary faced a high risk of dying young, but if people got up and moved, they slashed that threat substantially, even if they did not move much.
