Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Her Majesty’s Charity has received a donation of NZD $40,000 from the Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem Grand Priory in New Zealand, to support the ongoing recovery efforts and relief supplies to the Tongan communities affected by the volcanic eruption and tsunami of January 2022.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Fokikovi Lauaki (28) was jailed for stealing $144,660 from Luna'eva Enterprises Limited in 2022. She diverted the company's funds into her own bank account and another bank account. “That she did this after being dismissed shows a particularly brazen character and one determined to cheat,” said the judge. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A drought has been declared for Tongatapu and ‘Eua, with alerts for Niuafo’ou and Niuatoputapu, and warnings for Ha’apai and Vava’u this month by Tonga Meteorology. From this month until December, Tongatapu, Vava’u, Ha’apai, and ‘Eua, will expect a 30% rainfall deficiency, while Niuafo’ou and Niuatoputapu expects a 15-20% rainfall deficiency. Premium content -

Brisbane, Australia : Brisbane is set to host the 2023 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championship for the first time, in a three days competition, with teams also competing for an Olympic qualification, starting 10-12 November, at the Ballymore Stadium.
