One cannot but wonder at the way the island nations of the Pacific, think they can lead the world in the fight against global warming. The island nations may crow over how they are leaders in the use of renewable energy, but that's nothing, if the big polluter won't cooperate. Realistically the {NEG} will fail miserably in it's commitment to reduce pollutant emission to target level. World economy runs on power, and coal power is the cheapest that could sustain the amount of power required to maintain the TETRA WATT required every year Both for domestic and industry, and coal is the worst of all pollutant, so there we have it. Really! we must be living in la la land to believe, just because the industrialized nations sends representatives to participate in the so called meeting of small island nations fight against global warming, does not mean that they are doing what's being discussed at these meeting. What are these nations of coral atoll to do? build dikes around the reef ? and the bigger islands to put up foreshore? Most probably it would be more realistic for each nation to build an Ark.
