The Friendly Islands Shipping Agency Ltd invites interested applicants to apply for the following vacant positions:

1. Chief Financial Officer

Accountabilities

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible to the CEO for FISA for implementing decisions from the Board of Directors, and for managing the operation and financial function of FISA.

Specifically, the purpose of the position is to,

  • Provide leadership and management of the Account Division.
  • Responsible for administering the entire Account System of FISA.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Account Division to ensure effective, timely and accurate delivery of financial functions.
  • Contribute to and support the CEO and senior Management team to plan, review and deliver on FISA’s strategic direction in a way that provides value to all stakeholders.
  • The CFO shall provide appropriate input into the development for FISA’s Budget and relevant period reports.

Experience and Qualification

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the financial sector, including senior roles and exposure at a government level.

2. Human Resource Manager

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and policy development. You will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, aligning HR strategies with business goals, and supporting the growth of our team

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development and engagement of human capital.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Ensure legal compliance with laws and HR best practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and conflict resolution.

Experience and Qualification

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with at least 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the business administration and human resources sector, including senior roles and exposure at a government level.
