Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Around 900 young primary school students from 49 Primary Schools in the central, western and eastern districts of Tongatapu participated in a regional soroban competition that ended on Thursday, 25 August with top students to enter a national competition in 2017.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The 330 arrests mainly for drunk and disorderly conduct in central Nuku’alofa over the last three weeks is a community problem, which “should concern all of you,” says Tonga’s Commissioner of Police. He stated today that 50 people were arrested over the weekend and warned that the Police would continue to take a tough enforcement stance on drunkenness, criminal behaviour and drinking and driving.
