    : Three Bangladeshi nationals who arrived in Tonga last August after paying a businessman who promised them good jobs, higher salaries and a better life, had their dreams shattered when they found out the reality. The three told Matangi Tonga Online that they had run away from a Tongan employer who had beaten them and locked them up in her Nuku'alofa home, where they made roti and samosa to sell to schools, and occasionally sewed clothes, including police uniforms.

    : Archaeologists who are working on a project to map Tonga's ancient terraced tombs this week began the first laser imaging and remote sensing work to be conducted in Tonga, and they aim produce a three dimensional graphic map of Lapaha as as it was during the reign of the Tu'i Tonga from the 13th century to 1885.

    : Team Tonga Rugby 7's together with the Chef de Mission, Takitoa Taumoepeau left Mildura yesterday. The team were farewelled at the airport by the Deputy Mayor of Mildura with a handful of Tongans and local TV and media were there.
