    : The king in Privy Council on Friday, 27 August 2010 appointed the Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Feleti Sevele as the Acting Governor of Vava'u. In a statement yesterday, August 30, the Prime Minister's Office said that the Acting Governor would travel to Vava'u later this week. Vava'u has been without a governor since the death of Lord Luani in May. The Prime Minister now holds three additional portfolios, as the Minister of Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Acting Governor of Vava'u.
