In the last week of January, New Year weddings are still keeping the Nuku'alofa Registry Office busy with 15 marriages recorded today, the highest so far for the month.
The Registry Office has registered 66 marriages from 5 January to date. Today was the busiest with 15 marriage registrations followed by nine on January 22, 2015.
Among the happy couples who tied the knot today was Caroline Manu and Peni Moli.
Meanwhile, December remains the most popular wedding season in Tonga, with 108 marriages registered in that month alone last year.
