Kigali, Rwanda : The Prime Minister Hon Hu’akavameiliku met with Rwandan President H.E Paul Kagame in Rwanda today. In a separate meeting, he met with the Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, where necessary support was extended to help Tonga mitigate climate change.

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The storage and disposal of refrigerants at the Customs area is a concern for Tonga's National Ozone Unit, while more research is needed on the control of methyl bromide by the Quarantine Division. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : In Tonga, petrol, diesel and kerosene prices have reached their highest prices to date with new rates effective from Monday, 20 June for a month. Petrol is $4.28 per litre and diesel $4.35 per litre, while kerosene is $3.35 per litre. The surge in petroleum prices will increase the electricity tariff from 1July, on top of already increasing food prices. Premium content -

Nuku'alofa, Tonga : Altogether, 70 farm tractors have been handed over to the Tongan Government this year. The latest batch of 30 farm tractors is one of the concrete outcomes of the visit by the Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister, H.E. Wang from 31 May to 1 June. Besides, there are more outcomes of the visit, and also cooperation in many fields.
