    : A fire razed a classroom building for Forms 1-3 at Niuafo’ou High School on Wednesday 21 September at around 3:00pm. Teachers and students used water to stop the fire from spreading to the nearby office, saving the computers and supplies. No-one was injured.

    : Tonga Police allege that alcohol was involved in the road accident where two people died in the early morning of 21 September on Taufa’ahau Road at Nualei. The deceased were the driver, a 28-year-old man from Veitongo, and a passenger a 19-year-old woman from Pātangata. Three people remain in hospital with serious injuries.
