An absolute disgrace spending
An absolute disgrace spending donated money from NZ on such self-serving rubbish, that money would have been better spent on direct marketing Tonga to agents in NZ and Australia. How shocking that the country is in the hands of a PM who is not in control. The first question anyone would ask is "will this benefit Tonga and, if so, how much?" And the PM is on record stating "150,000USD is not a lot of money". Well let me tell you PM that's a hell of a lot of hard working New Zealander's tax money you have just blown on pushing your own profile.....you are not standing up and being accountable for your actions.
The fact that the government
The fact that the government actually paid to have an article in a U.S. magazine shows how totally out of touch and inept they are in running government. No one pays to put an article in a magazine! Magazines in the U.S. and elsewhere are a dying industry. The government was scammed and because of the large egos and low level of understanding the world, they paid an outrageous amount for nothing. It seems they believe that such an article would give them credibility. The reality is a bankrupt economy and a $300,000,000 plus debt with no plans to reduce it shows how much credibility they lack. Malcom Forbes once said; "Failure is success if we learn from it." With all the failures the government has had, Tonga seems destined to never learn from them.
