Nuku'alofa, Tonga : A Senior Marine Engineer who surveyed the MV Princess Ashika vessel in Nuku'alofa on July 2 said he told the Acting Director for the Marine Division on numerous occasions that vessel was in an unfit condition, and on one occasion he specifically asked him to stop it from sailing.Premium content -

New Zealand, Auckland : I entered into this debate to point out that the CEDAW vote in parliament was nothing more than a weathervane and that there is adequate evidence to warrant concern for the future of Tongan women in Tonga. Auckland, New Zealand : I thank all contributors and respect all commentaries express in MT Online in regards to CEDAW convention and in particular to the decision made by the House of Legislative on the issue. This debate seems spinning and moving no where. Nuku'alofa, Tonga : The Prime Minister will host a historical meeting with Development Partners on Tonga's Energy Roadmap in Neiafu, Vava'u on 16-17 November 2009.
