The women's God-given right -
The women's God-given right - Sione A. Mokofisi
Mr. Sione L. Kava seems to conveniently forget that “freedom of expressions” is basis of democratic process (Seeking democracy….7 Nov 2009).
He lives in Amerika Samoa, but he seems to think women in Tonga are not deserving of the same rights American women are entitled to.
I am very disappointed in an educated colleague like Mr. Kava for sweeping the issue of women’s right under the carpet. I noticed he acted in his paternalistic role to “warned” the women in his family:
“It may not be the best for them and for the rest of us:”
Sounds like he warned them of “losing benefits” if they demand their rights. Please Mr. Kava, women’s rights are an unconditional “God-given right” You don’t give it to them, and you cannot take it away. All you’re doing is deny them from their rights. - Sione A. Mokofisi, Salt Lake City Utah, USA
