On 22 September, Tonga’s national rugby team, the ‘Ikale Tahi, will play England – the world’s largest rugby nation – in their first game of the 2019 World Cup. Tonga National Rugby League Board (TNRLB) confirmed at a press conference in Nuku’alofa this afternoon Mate Ma’a Tonga Coach Kristian Woolf was let go on Wednesday 4 September. Mate Ma’a Tonga with Kristian Woolf as coach reached the semi-finals at the Rugby League World Cup in 2017, the highest achievement ever reached by a Tongan Rugby League Team.
