Outstanding performances by Tonga’s Taekwondo Team have earned the country six medals - 3 Gold and 3 Silver - at the New Zealand Kukkiwon Cup 2023 competition, held from 19-20 August, in New Zealand.

‘Ikale Tahi center and former All Black, George Moala’s hopes for representing Tonga in the World Cup competition this September, may have been dashed, after he received a five-match suspension from World Rugby in a decision published on 15 August. The matches to which the sanction applies is to be confirmed.
