A 17-year-old youth who sustained serious injuries when he was hit by a vehicle, while he was crossing Taufa'ahau Road at Nualei, on 1 February has been discharged from Vaiola Hospital. The accused driver of the vehicle is expected to appear at the Magistrate's Court on 13 February.

The House observed one minute of silence in respect of the former Tongatapu 3 People's Representative, after it was announced at the start of this morning’s session, 6 February. The Halapua Family said the funeral will be held on 14 February at Māngere, Auckland.
